Grow Team ONE
Growing community and food security in the Old North End
Grow Team ONE (Old North End), a grassroots community organization, started in March 2007. It aims to be a resource to residents who want to learn about growing, harvesting and preserving food; facilitate the creation of sustainable home and neighborhood gardens; connect residents looking for garden space with homeowners; improve access to fresh produce for Old North End residents; and implement urban permaculture design principles. Grow Team ONE’s main activity is the development of neighborhood gardens. The Archibald Neighborhood Garden was established in 2007. The Riverside Neighborhood Garden started this summer as an outreach and education site and will be open to the community in 2010.
