Riverside Neighborhood Garden
a project of Grow Team ONE in Burlington, Vermont

Grow Team ONE, in partnership with Burlington Housing Authority and Burlington Parks & Recreation, has established a new garden on Intervale Avenue, behind the 699 Riverside Avenue.

This year, six garden beds are used for outreach and education by the Dream Team mentoring program, Burlington Parks and Recreation Summer Lunch Program, and 669 Riverside Avenue’s Resident Managers. Two of the beds are designated for the Grow and Extra Row campaign and the fresh vegetables will be donated to the Burlington Food Shelf.

Neighbors can assist in the care of the garden this summer in order to learn more about gardening. The site will be expanded and open to community members in 2010.
